WSS provides a comprehensive range of total risk mitigation
solutions including onboard security personnel (armed and
unarmed) on contract basis to private maritime security
companies, onboard armed security personnel for the protection
of Fishing Vessels, Merchant Vessels, weapon storage on Floating
Armouries, sea transportation of weapons, gunwhalf related
equipment.

- Embarking/Disembarking of Maritime Security Guards – since Sri Lanka is a staging
- WSS is to deploy Professional Armed Security Personnel to keep a constant watch on suspicious vessels to avoid deliberate attacks launched by sea pirates towards Merchant Vessels (MVs).
- WSS Ensure security and safety of Fishing Vessels (FVs) against Sea Pirates operating in the high risk area of the Indian Ocean as well as in the high seas world wide.
- Weapons owned by the Government of Sri Lanka(GOSL) are available for hire on per-transit basis to Private Maritime Security Companies (PMSCs). A set of weapons is always accompanied by a Sri Lankan Maritime Security Officer (MSO). Additional MSOs and Team Leaders are also available for a cost. All weapons, associated equipment and MSOs are accompanied by an authorization letter EUC (End User Certificate) issued by
- It is mandatory that deployed weapons are returned at any other location of the Closed Circuit Network, at the time, the Sri Lankan Maritime Security Officers disembarks.
- Those weapons, ammunition and accessories will be sea transported back to Sri Lanka on completion of the deployment.
- WSS will provide qualified Unarmed Guards (MSOs) with the End User Certificates issued by the Ministry of Defence of Sri Lanka.
- WSS is supplying qualified and
experienced crew members to
National, International Shipping
Lines and Fishing Vessels as well.
- Floating Armoury facilities will be provided through other available sources for the weapons and associated equipment belonging to PMSCs. This is for the safe custody and storage until required by that PMSC again, especially when those weapons are not permitted
- Objective of the International land security operation department is to provide capable and professionally qualified Officers and Guards to clients, to be deployed on land based security duties internationally.
- Our human resource base which consist of several thousands of professionals include general duty security guards, backup duty Guards for any international forces, personnel for Specialized duties such as Close Protection Duties of VIPs, personnel for Medivac duties, engineer troops especially trained for Field Engineer duties including De-mining tasks, Dog handlers and drivers capable of operating in high risk/rouged terrain conditions.
- We maintain the status of market leader in quality of the product and the service, as all our troops are Ex-servicemen from Sri Lankan Armed forces with well over 12 years service, most of the Guards are of Special forces/Infantry oriented, majority of the professionals possessed international experience, all are capable of handling English language well, all are medically fit and will possessed medical report from a qualified and approved medics with Fit for every where certificate, all are well qualified and experienced in Counter Terrorism operations and capable and willing to operate overseas for longer duration at a stretch.
